Gold and Glamorous Wedding at The Grove
The Venue
The Grove
The Brief
To transform the beautiful Amber Suite into a unique and elegant setting for a large-scale wedding.
A must for the design was to create a unique chuppah, the design was to ensure that all eyes could be on the bride and groom, from all angles.
The Wedding
On arrival, guests were greeted with an abundance of stunning flowers, including hydrangeas, roses and peonies in soft pastel pinks and purples. A draped archway led the way into the reception space, with Perspex plinths and yet more floral arrangements lining the walkway to the ceremony.
The entire Amber Suite was draped in plush ivory and gold velvet, with a partitioned area in the centre for the ceremony. The breath-taking chuppah sat in the middle, with a full pelmet of flowers sitting on top of Perspex columns giving the impression it was floating. A rotating chuppah stage was the highlight of the ceremony, allowing guests to have a full view of the bride and groom as the ceremony took place.
During reception, guests were entertained by an acoustic roaming band who performed a mix of songs throughout the eras, whilst our production team got to work on transforming the room. The draping was removed to reveal raised levels on either side, lined with custom made gold curved booths with ivory seat pads. The bride and groom’s initials were engraved and hand painted in the centre of the circular dancefloor, and a gold edge fitted. An astounding stage featured an abundance of gold mirror, with spiralling staircases on either side.
Gold mirror table tops were laid, with the florist creating a stunning mixture of high and low arrangements. The final touches were made to the room, and then came the big reveal to guests.
The atmosphere throughout was electric, with a 14-piece band complete with a grand piano keeping the dancefloor packed all night and ensuring the party ended on a high.
