Dinner Dance at The Dorchester

The Brief
A dinner dance Christmas party for 140 guests, the venue was to be a traditionally luxurious five star London hotel.

The Venue
The chosen venue for this event was The Dorchester on Park Lane, the client had exclusivity of the luxurious Holford and Orchid suites.

The Event
As guests arrived at the hotel they passed through the hotel lobby, which at Christmas time, is beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree, giant ginger bread replica of the hotel and an elf’s tuck shop. Guests were then welcomed into the intimate Holford suite to enjoy Champagne and canapes.

After the Champagne reception the doors into the Orchid were opened to reveal this traditional, yet glamourous room, with beautiful chandeliers and detailed decoration. To enhance the atmosphere of the room we added some colourwash lighting, along with some uplighting and background music.

Guests enjoyed a fabulous three course meal, followed by coffee and petit-fours. After awards and speeches, announcing the achievements of staff that year the guests were ready to party. The Holford once again opened as the ‘party room’ where the hotels beautiful silver bar served an unlimited drinks package. A DJ, saxophonist and percussionist played a DJ live concept, being thoroughly interactive with the guests.
